About Me

Hi! My name is Rosann and I'm the blessed wife of Mark and mommy to my two daughters, Faith and Abigail. I'm also a step-mom to my daughter Lauren. I love my role as wife and mother and thank God every day for the gift of my beautiful family. Each day they touch my heart in a new way!

For years we lived in Southern California, "enjoying" the rat race of the fast paced and overpriced, big city lifestyle. Deep in our hearts we knew God's plan was not for us to continue living that way.

But it's hard to walk away from a fat paycheck and a beautiful home. It's also difficult to leave friends and family behind.

Over time, God's loving hand opened doors for us to make a change. So a few years ago we uprooted everything and moved to Western Pennsylvania. We are so glad we did!

We love our life here. It's simple and unrushed. I take care of Abby during the day and greet Faith with a kiss as she steps off the school bus. My dear husband is now working for a local bank after enduring a 3 year season of recession related unemployment.  He's also pursuing his dreams of building his own company. Every day I see the beauty in God's creations and I am in absolute awe! For me, THIS is true prosperity.

The Man Of My Dreams

Here I am posing with the best husband in the world, my soul mate and best friend, Mark. I have believed in God for as long as I can remember, but my spiritual life really took off when I met Mark. He is an inspiration and has taught me so much about how powerful our faith, our words, and our thoughts can be.

Mark is the picture you would see next to the phrase "what doesn't kill you makes you stronger." Seriously - the man must have an army of angels surrounding him.

The truth is he has rock solid faith like nobody else I've ever met. I think God has great plans for him! Mark and I have been together for 13 years.

My Beautiful Children

Meet Faith and Abigail, two of my greatest blessings from God. We tried to get pregnant with Faith for nearly 2 years before God answered our prayers. Heinz had it right when they said "good things come to those who wait." Faith was very much worth the wait.  My little 2nd grader is full of life, incredibly bright, and shares her love of God with anyone willing to listen.

Then there's Abby, our miracle child. After all the difficulty we had getting pregnant with Faith, we were surprised when we discovered an accidental pregnancy with Abby. In our human view, the timing of Abby's arrival was horrible since I had just been laid off from my job and unknown to us at the time, a huge life upset was headed our way. God definitely knows what's best for us. I'm certain Abby was a gift from God to remind us of His love, even during the difficult storms of life. Our little miracle just celebrated her 4th birthday.  I can't believe she's 4 already!  All smiles and personality, she is rambunctious, mischievous, and very determined. But she is also a sweet angel who loves giving kisses, hugs, and shows genuine concern when someone is hurt or crying. She is an absolute joy.

I can't imagine life without my girls!

This is Lauren, my smart and beautiful step daughter.  We were awarded custody of Lauren when she was 12 and she was my first real parenting experience. Lauren has turned out to be a loving, giving, and very caring person. She's a hard worker and is very much a daddy's girl, which I think is so cool.  {I mean, ladies...aren't we all daddy's girls at some point throughout life?}   Lauren currently resides in Southern California so we don't get to see her as often as we'd like.  We certainly miss her dearly and selfishly hope one day we can convince her to walk away from the rat race too!  Lauren is now 24 and has just started her own business, Dolce Cibo Catering.

My Passion For Writing

I've been passionate about writing for as long as I can remember.  There is something very therapeutic about it and I love the idea of leaving a beautiful legacy behind for my children.  The initial concept in my mind for this blog was to share the story of my journey through living a life of faith.  The ups.  The downs.  The failures.  The victories.

Some days I do just that.  But mostly I just want this to be a place of encouragement, inspiration, and hope.  I want you to know, whatever you're going through, you aren't alone.  God is very present and He loves you!

Since entering the blogging world I've learned so much about things I never thought I'd care about.  You know...stuff like HTML code and social media.  I've met some really amazing writers throughout the blogosphere and I've even been invited to write articles for other websites.  I've also recently published my first book about ways to cope with the emotional side of unemployment.  You can purchase the book by clicking on the image below or for more details, visit UnEMPLOYED Faith.
