40 Thoughts About Turning 40…From a Christian SuperMom

This weekend I'm turning 40 {gasp!} and I'm not really sure how I feel about it. Since I know I'm not the only Christian woman to ever be faced with the big 4-0, I thought I'd share my thoughts about turning 40 in hopes that you'll be encouraged by them, or at the very least enjoy a giggle or two from reading them.

Believe me...I'm preaching to myself here. If you can relate - awesome! If you have your own thoughts to add - please do! Just don't be offended by any of this. It's not meant to be a ...

A Letter to My Future Son-in-Law

I know how crazy this sounds. My daughter is only 8 years old, yet here I am writing a letter to her future spouse.

See, the thing is, my husband and I have a nightly routine with our daughters where we pray for them out loud before tucking them into bed. I've recently felt very called to pray for whoever the young boy is out there, that will one day marry my daughter.

So I pray for things like- a good home life as he grows up, a family upbringing as an active believer, a good father who will teach ...

Living Our New Normal (Getting Excited for the Overwhelmed eBook)

Living Our New Normal.

It's the title of the chapter I've contributed for this book -

Here's a little snippet from my chapter to wet your appetite...

“I just want life to feel normal again!”

They were familiar words and feelings, spoken all too often.  What I didn’t realize at the time, “Normal” as determined by worldly desires and expectations, was not ever God’s plan for me or my family.

Perhaps if I’d been raised as a Christian I would have already known that following Jesus meant living differently; not conforming to worldly ways where ...

Hi my fellow blogging friends,

I'm so excited about this eBook bundle I just had to share it with you. I've personally read two of these books already and loved them. Both Blogger Behave and Blog at Home Moms are excellent blogging resources to get your hands on.

Which Book Cover Would You Choose?

Hey awesome friends,

I'm working on another book project called Refuel Your Inner SuperMom:  A Practical Guide to Getting Your Groove Back.  Do you remember my 31 Days to SuperMom series last October?  Well, this project is that series all compiled into one lovely eBook (Finally! I know some of you have been asking about it...) plus some extra content I'm adding along the way as I build the book.

My goal was to have the book available for purchase by Mother's Day (2013), and while I'm still trying to stick to that timeline, I know myself.  I know I'll ...

What Motherhood Means to Me

Motherhood is the most precious gift the Lord has blessed me with.  Even when I'm feeling tired and weary, I know in my heart my precious children were hand picked by God to be a part of my world.

He orchestrated our family to be together, blessing each others lives with smiles, laughter, kindness, and compassion.  And more!  We aren't a perfect family though.  We each have our faults and quirks that grate on one another's nerves.

My oldest daughter can screech so loud it actually hurts my ears.  As with the sound of nails on a ...

A Little Bit of Sleep Goes a Long Way

Sleep.

Glorious sleep.  A little bit of sleep goes a long way, doesn't it?

This morning I slept in.  Well, if you can consider 8am sleeping in.  For me, it was three extra hours of glorious, awesome, peaceful sleep.

I really needed it and truth be told, I could use a nap while I'm typing these very words.  I've been in such deprivation of lengthy, uninterrupted sleep for months.  It's really taken a toll on this mama who thrives best on 8 hours of sleep each night.

Sleep can make such a difference in our emotional and ...

As we say goodbye to winter (hopefully!) and hello to Spring, I'm thrilled to announce it's time for  a Super Blogger Spotlight shout out.  This month's blogger of choice is truly one of my favorites.

We Would Love Your Vote: Overwhelmed eBook Cover

As you may know, several bloggers and myself have written an eBook for women struggling with their finances.
