My Favorite Places

Want to know who inspires me?

Below I've listed the blogs I hang out at most often.  Seriously, if you visit them you'll likely see a comment or two -  or ten - from me on their blog.  I'm what you'd call a very loyal follower of these lovely, encouraging hearts.  While I know there is a lot of talent out there (some are even good blogging friends of mine) I'm only listing those whose God glorifying writing topics, style, and personality have consistently touched my heart.

I know they will do the same for you.  This is not just any list.  These are blogs I know you'll love.

UnEmployed Faith

If you haven't already, please please check out my sister site UnEMPLOYED Faith.  This site was created for the primary purpose of marketing and selling my eBook.  However, I do write an encouragement blog there too - usually once per week.

If you or someone you know is dealing with the very difficult season of unemployment in your home, this book might be a blessing.  In the book, I offer 10 different ways to cope through your husband's unemployment.  This is a deeply personal topic for me as I've been there done that.  I strongly believe unemployment and financial hardships do not have to result in divorce.

Christian Mom Thoughts

Meet Natasha from Christian Mom Thoughts.   If you're looking for a sweet friend to inspire you in paving a path of Christian faith for your children, you really need to visit Natasha's blog.  A fellow mom just trying to figure out how best to raise godly children of her own, she has a genuine heart and is a true inspiration to Christian moms everywhere.

As long as I've been reading her work, there hasn't been a single blog post where she didn't completely capture my attention from the very first sentence.  {Seriously - subscribe to her site via email.  You won't regret it!}

Natasha never claims to know it all, but it's clear she doesn't write without first doing her research.  The result is always a well thought out, very informative, and useful article.  You know...the kind of article that makes you want to read every single word and then quickly hit the share to Facebook button?

Christian Mommy Blogger

Written by Leigh Ann and Nikki (and a few other contributing Christian bloggers), Christian Mommy Blogger is a really great resource for the...well...Christian mommy blogger!  Haha!  I only recently subscribed to this site, but so far I've been very pleased with the blogging and social media tips and advice offered.

Want to know how to create a custom Facebook cover?  You'll find it there.  Looking for inspiration on how to keep your writing fresh?  Yep, that's there too!

Every morning I jump for joy when a new post of awesomeness lands in my email inbox. Particularly as a Christian blogger where it can often feel like this "ministry" is a never-ending uphill battle to gain loyal readers.  Christian Mommy Blogger keeps me encouraged and inspired to keep on keeping on, because what I'm doing really does matter.

Jesus and My Orange Juice

newheadshot retouched e1348605454815 My Favorite PlacesShannon Milholland of Jesus and My Orange Juice can weave words of faith like no other. Writing about marriage, motherhood, and life her quick 500 word gems never disappoint. Author, Speaker, Writer, Mom (to four gorgeous little girls), Wife, and Runner (currently training for a marathon), Shannon knows just how to connect with her audience because she's been there, done that.

Her love for God is clear in her writing and in the beautiful wisdom I've been privileged to glean from her over the past year.  Not just a personal mentor, she is also a sweet friend in the crazy online world of Christian blogging ministry.

Want to grow in your prayer life?  Hop over to Shannon's blog and download her (FREE) awesome prayer resources.  Oh, and while you're there, don't forget to subscribe via email or take some time to read through her Tuesday running series, Lessons from the Road.

Tuesday's with Jesus

Profile pic My Favorite PlacesWhat can I say about Donna of Tuesday's with Jesus except that I just love her!  She is a blessing to me - an online friend I truly cherish. There are days I really believe she and I are like kindred spirits.  Having experienced similar hardships in life, I can always emotionally relate with the Biblical encouragement her Tuesday blog devotions offer.  She is an incredibly talented writer with a gift for sharing God's message of hope and faith.

In fact, more than once I've forwarded her blog URL over to my husband for him to read.  I don't usually do that unless it's a male voice I think he can relate with and would enjoy reading.  Donna's words resonate with all believers in all walks of life.

One more thing... don't miss checking out Donna's book, Lessons from Ruth: Discovering Your Destiny.  When my husband and I were up to our eyeballs in unemployment nightmare, I read her book and was so inspired and encouraged by it.  I highly recommend it!

Everyday Truth

EverydayTruthbuttonsmall 1 My Favorite PlacesLori is the sweet voice behind the blog Everyday Truth.  A mom to two active daughters, her goal with Everyday Truth is to share how she embraces those teachable moments in the midst of the busyness of everyday life.

Now when I say teachable moments, I'm of course referring to the raise-your-kids-up-in-the-ways-of-the-Lord opportunities.  And let's face it, if you have kids, you know these gems present themselves every day.  The problem is in not always knowing how to react right then and there.

Hop over to read what Lori has to say about Teaching Our Kids to Listen, and so much more.

Rediscovering Domesticity

DSC 0132edited nameweb e1346500132484 My Favorite PlacesI first "met" Audra of Rediscovering Domesticity about a year ago through the mom blogging network voiceBoks.  Every time I'd visit her blog I would connect immediately with her words.  She is a beautifully sweet, Christian mom to her three little boys and her goal is simple (or in some cases, not so simple):  rediscover domesticity.

At her blog you'll find posts about faith, motherhood, blogging, green living, and even car seat safety.  But that's not all.  Audra runs a Saturday Salvation series and it's truly the highlight of my week when I see a new face and story of a sinner (like me) saved by grace.  She's also been a guest here before which was a true honor.

I encourage you to hop over and subscribe to her awesomeness.  You might want to check out her lovely contributions at Christian Mommy Blogger and take a peek at her brand new website/blog Audra Michelle.
